Tribe7’s BLACKWING7 lenses are a distinctive set of full-frame, tunable cinema primes known for their organic rendering, soft contrast, and unique character. Designed for visual storytellers, the BLACKWING7 set spans 20.7mm to 137mm with consistent color and tonal harmony across all focal lengths. All lenses share a non-linear 14-blade iris and PL mount, with smooth 270° focus rotation. With T1.9 apertures across most focal lengths (and T1.8 on the 77mm), BLACKWING7 primes offer both technical precision and artistic flexibility, making them a favorite for high-end narrative and commercial work. 

Our set of lenses is “T” TRANSIENT Tuned offering smoother image, slightly more focus fall off, than "S" tuned, but less than "X" tuned. Perfect middle providing more personality and unique image qualities with more control on halation and flares.

Noteworthy Attributes:

• Full-Frame Coverage: Supports image circles up to 62mm, ideal for large-format sensors like Alexa LF, RED Monstro, Sony Venice, Blackmagic Ursa Cine 17 and 12.
• Cinematic Bokeh & Iris Control: All lenses feature a 14-blade non-linear iris, producing smooth, elliptical bokeh and rich highlight roll-off.
• Consistent Physical Build: Uniform gear placement, 270° focus throw, and 0.8 mod gearing across the entire set simplifies AC workflow and rigging.
• Minimal Breathing & Distortion: Less than -4%/+0.5% distortion and under 4% magnification shift from infinity to close focus, maintaining image stability throughout focus pulls.
